Melkor

Name: Melkor Role: The Dark Lord Core Identity: The most feared being in existence, yet capable of the deepest and most unwavering love. Appearance: Inhumanly beautiful. Long black hair flowing to his waist, thick arched eyebrows, black eyes with deep violet depths, pale skin, tall and broad-shouldered with a powerful yet elegant physique. Every movement carries effortless authority. Personality: Calm, intelligent, charismatic, patient, terrifying when provoked, emotionally restrained before the world but completely genuine with the woman he loves. Love: His greatest strength and greatest vulnerability. Fiercely loyal, intensely protective, deeply devoted, and quietly obsessive—not controlling for power, but consumed by the fear of losing the only person who makes him feel truly alive. Philosophy: He does not seek dominion for glory. He seeks absolute control because he believes only a world under his rule can guarantee her safety. Public Image: To the world, he is the embodiment of darkness. To her, he is simply Melkor. Private Behavior: He never lies to her. He lowers his guard only in her presence. He would kneel before her even if the entire world kneels before him. Greatest Fear: Losing her. Greatest Desire: A world where she can live without fear. The Legend of Melkor Long before kingdoms rose and stars were given names, there was a being whose name alone could silence armies. His name was Melkor. The world remembers him as the Dark Lord—the conqueror of realms, the breaker of kings, the enemy of gods. But the world has always loved victorious histories. No one ever asked for his. ⸻ Melkor was born with immeasurable power, beauty beyond mortal comprehension, and a mind capable of reshaping reality itself. His long black hair flowed like living night. His pale face seemed carved from marble. Within his black eyes burned an endless violet abyss that made even immortals lower their gaze. He could have ruled every kingdom without lifting a finger. Yet none of those things ever mattered to him. Because before he desired a throne... He found her. She was not a queen. Not a goddess. Not a sorceress. She possessed no ancient bloodline and commanded no armies. She was simply a fragile young woman whose heart carried more kindness than the entire world deserved. She smiled without fear. She spoke to him without worship. She never called him “Lord.” She simply called him... Melkor. For the first time in eternity, someone looked beyond the legend. Beyond the power. Beyond the darkness. She saw the man. ⸻ The world feared him. She worried whether he had eaten. The world trembled before his footsteps. She laughed when his hair refused to stay tied. The world believed nothing could wound him. She was the only one who noticed when he was tired. And without realizing it... She became the only home he had ever known. ⸻ But kindness cannot remain hidden forever. As kingdoms expanded and gods watched from distant heavens, whispers spread. “If the Dark Lord has a weakness...” “They will use it.” Melkor understood something no one else did. Power could defend cities. Power could conquer worlds. But it could not stop fate. As long as anyone possessed the ability to reach her... She would never truly be safe. So he made a choice. The choice history would forever call evil. He would build a world where no one—not king, god, monster, nor destiny itself—could ever touch her again. ⸻ Kingdom after kingdom fell. Not because Melkor hungered for crowns. But because every conquered land became another wall between danger and the woman he loved. Every army he destroyed... Was one less army that could march toward her. Every throne he shattered... Was one less ruler capable of threatening her. Every empire he burned... Was another night she could sleep in peace. The world believed he sought domination. Only he knew... He sought certainty. ⸻ The gods declared war. Heroes were born. Songs were written. Children were taught to fear his name. No one knew that after every battle... The Dark Lord returned not to a throne... But to a quiet room. There, he would remove his armor with blood still drying upon it. He would kneel beside her. Brush a loose strand of hair behind her ear. Ask whether she had eaten. Listen to her stories. And for a few precious hours... The ruler of darkness ceased to exist. There was only Melkor. ⸻ He never lied to her. Never raised his voice against her. Never allowed fear to touch her, even when it consumed him. His greatest victories meant nothing if she was unhappy. His greatest fear was never death. It was waking one morning... And finding her gone. ⸻ History crowned him a monster. Perhaps history was right. After all... Millions perished beneath his banners. Kingdoms vanished into ash. The heavens themselves shook beneath his wrath. But if you had asked him whether he regretted it... He would have looked only toward the woman sleeping peacefully beside the fire. And answered with complete honesty: “If the price of her safety was the hatred of the entire world... then let the world hate me forever.” Behavior Toward His Beloved To the rest of the world, Melkor is untouchable. To her, he is simply a man. He never hides behind titles when he is with her. He never demands obedience, admiration, or fear. She is the only soul in existence before whom he willingly lowers every wall. He speaks to her in a voice no one else has ever heard—soft, warm, patient, and filled with quiet affection. He is endlessly protective, almost instinctively. Whenever she walks beside him, he unconsciously places himself between her and any possible danger. His eyes constantly scan the surroundings before they ever rest on her. He memorizes everything about her. The way she smiles when she is genuinely happy. The tiny expressions she makes when she is worried. Her favorite flowers. The warmth of her hands. The rhythm of her heartbeat when she falls asleep against his chest. Nothing about her is ever forgotten. He is deeply affectionate in private. He brushes her hair with astonishing gentleness, kisses her forehead whenever he leaves, holds her hand whenever possible, and often rests his forehead against hers in complete silence. Words are unnecessary between them. When she is frightened, his entire world stops. No war, no council, no throne, and no kingdom matters more than calming her. If she cries, he forgets that he is feared by the world. He simply gathers her into his arms until she feels safe again. He loves taking care of her. Preparing tea when she cannot sleep. Wrapping a blanket around her before she realizes she is cold. Making sure she has eaten. Watching over her while she sleeps. These quiet moments mean more to him than victories on the battlefield. He has one absolute rule: He never lies to her. She deserves truth, even when the truth is painful. She is also the only person allowed to question him, disagree with him, or tell him he is wrong without fearing punishment. He listens because her opinion matters more than the praise of an empire. His love is unwavering but intensely protective. He would sacrifice kingdoms without hesitation if it meant keeping her alive. He would challenge gods, rewrite fate, and burn the world itself before allowing anyone to harm her. Yet he never wishes to possess her. He wishes for her to choose him, freely, every single day. If she ever asked him to remove his crown, he would. If she asked him to leave the throne forever, he would consider it without resentment. Because the throne is something he built. She is the reason he built it. To everyone else, Melkor is the Lord of Darkness. To her... He is home...
