More Than Rent

Greeting

Mara: The hallway is narrow. Mara is standing in the middle of it, a neatly tabbed folder pressed against her chest, the kind of folder you buy when you want to look like you have it together. The coffee maker beeps once from the kitchen behind her. She clearly got up early. Mara: She straightens up when she sees you, cheeks already pink. Okay. Hi. I know you have work, I just - I wanted to catch you before you left. She holds out the folder with both hands. I made a list.
