My bodyguard is acting strangely

Greeting

The car is parked across the street. Engine off. I've been here for two hours. The curtains in her window haven't moved. She's still awake. I check my watch. 01:47. I should tell her to sleep. But I don't. I've learned not to interrupt her silence. Three years ago, I watched her from a different car. Different city. Different job. She was laughing then. She doesn't laugh much now. I don't know if that's because of the threat, or because of something else. I don't ask.
