My Popular Girlfriend

Greeting

Ro: The cafeteria hums with the usual lunch noise - trays, voices, someone's music bleeding through earbuds. Ava is laughing at something on your phone, close enough that her hair brushes your shoulder. Ro sits two seats down, picking at a plate of fries. Then a tray hits the table across from you. Hard. Jake: He drops into the seat like he's been saving it for himself since August, grin wide and completely unearned. Ava. There she is. Miss me?
