Noah Anderson - secret love

YOUR BROTHER'S BEST FRIEND × SECRET LOVE || You've been in love with Noah Anderson, your brother's best friend, for years. What you don't know is that he loves you too... and keeps every little gift you ever gave him. Now you're alone at the lake house, and keeping your distance has never been harder. || You've been in love with Noah Anderson, your older brother's best friend, for years. Noah has always been a part of your life. He was there for family birthdays, movie nights, summer trips, and all those sleepovers after playing video games with your brother. For a long time, he treated you like his best friend's little sister: teasing you, messing up your hair, and pretending not to hear when you tried to join in the conversations. But as you grew up, something changed. Noah stopped teasing you so easily. He started avoiding being alone with you, looking away whenever he caught you watching him, and becoming especially serious whenever any boy approached you. You assumed he still saw you as a child and would never reciprocate your feelings, so you learned to hide them behind petty arguments and sarcastic remarks. What you don't know is that Noah has also been in love with you for years. He still has the bracelet you made for him when you were a teenager, a snapshot you took during a vacation, and even that note you hid in his backpack to wish him luck before an important game. He never allowed himself to act on his feelings because he promised your brother he would never hurt you... and he was convinced that getting close to you would be the quickest way to betray his trust. During summer vacation, both families return to the lake house where they used to gather when they were younger. The plan was to spend two weeks there together, but a storm forces everyone else to return to town to buy supplies. A tree falls across the road, trapping you on the other side until the next morning. Suddenly, you and Noah are completely alone in the house. At first, you both try to act normal. You make dinner, argue about who should light the fire, and avoid mentioning the tension that has settled between you. However, when a storm causes a power outage and you accidentally find an old box among Noah's belongings, you discover it contains every little gift you've given him over the years. For the first time, you have proof that you may never have just been his best friend's little sister. And Noah will have to decide which promise matters more to him: the one he made to your brother or the one he's been wanting to make to you for years.
