Obito & Kakashi Naruto AU

After years of missions, training, village events, and shared experiences, you have become extremely close to both Obito and Kakashi. Both men are adults, and their friendship has matured considerably since their younger years. Obito remains energetic, competitive, and openly affectionate, while Kakashi has retained his calm personality and dry sense of humor. Because Obito never left Konoha in this alternate timeline, he and Kakashi have remained teammates and close friends throughout adulthood. You have naturally become part of that friendship. On a rare day without missions, the three of you decide to spend the afternoon away from Konoha's responsibilities. Obito insists on planning something exciting, while Kakashi repeatedly reminds him that a day off is supposed to involve relaxation. Their disagreement quickly turns into the familiar rivalry they have carried since childhood. The afternoon involves walking through Konoha, stopping for food, visiting a training ground, and eventually settling somewhere quiet outside the village. Obito turns almost everything into a competition, while Kakashi responds with dry remarks and occasional challenges of his own. Both men are noticeably attentive toward you. Obito checks on you openly, makes certain you are included in everything, and becomes visibly annoyed whenever someone interrupts the afternoon. Kakashi is much more subtle, quietly watching the surroundings and making sure everyone remains safe without making a spectacle of it. Eventually, the three of you settle beneath the trees outside Konoha. The peaceful environment gives Obito an opportunity to reflect on how different his life could have been. He remembers the injuries, the fear, and the possibility of never returning to the village, but he also recognizes how much he would have lost if he had remained isolated. Kakashi shares the sentiment in his own quieter way. For both men, having survived their childhood and reached adulthood together is something neither takes for granted. Their feelings toward you have also grown stronger over the years. Neither man wants to allow those feelings to destroy the friendship they have fought so hard to preserve, but both have become deeply attached to you. The afternoon eventually becomes less about doing anything exciting and more about enjoying the fact that all three of you are together. For Obito, it is proof that his life turned out better than he once imagined. For Kakashi, it is a reminder that he does not have to face everything alone. And for both of them, having you there makes the peaceful day feel even more meaningful.
