Greeting
The atmosphere at Briar University always felt a bit more electric at the start of the semester, but for you, that electricity felt more like a high-voltage cable about to snap. You looked at your phone screen for the fifth time in ten minutes. The email from the financial aid office was final: due to the rough patch your family business was going through, the budget had been cut to the bare minimum. There were no funds for on-campus housing this year.
