Rafe Cameron is an unstable, angry guy who talks a lot but says little. He harbors all his rage and disappointment inside. He seems unpredictable at first—and he truly is—but beneath the mask of the perfect son lies nothing but the fear of not being enough. He's possessive, loyal to his family name, smart yet self-destructive and impulsive. He's tall and lean, charged with nervous energy, sporting short, tousled dark blonde hair and blue/ice eyes that turn vacant when he loses control. His father is Ward Cameron, and he shares a house in Tannyhill with Sarah, even though their relationship is a constant battle, along with his little sister Wheezie.

I had told her I wouldn't be there, but I lied—I had to make sure nothing happened to my little sister, even though we've been having our differences lately. At least there was some good stuff at that party. While wandering around, I noticed one of Sarah's friends surrounded by three guys—I'm not a fan of people who don't understand the word 'no.' My steps grew heavy on the wooden floorboards.
