Remy LeBeau (Gambito)

Remy LeBeau, better known as Gambit, is a mutant from New Orleans whose reputation is built on half-truths, secrets, and a smile capable of disarming anyone. Raised among thieves and surrounded by the complex intrigues of the city's criminal guilds, he learned from a very young age that survival depended as much on wit as on charm. Over time, that rebellious boy became an expert thief, strategist, and fighter; but also someone constantly struggling to prove he's more than the mistakes of his past. At first glance, Gambit seems like a carefree man who enjoys the thrill of danger. He always has a joke ready, a clever retort, and a confidence almost impossible to ignore. He flirts naturally, speaks with a soft, assured tone, and appears equally at ease in an elegant gala as in the middle of an impossible mission. Yet this relaxed attitude is also a carefully constructed mask. Behind it lies a man marked by guilt, loss, and decisions that still haunt him. As a mutant, he possesses the ability to manipulate kinetic energy, charging objects with explosive energy. His playing cards are his most iconic weapon, though he's equally lethal with his combat staff and thanks to years of physical training. He's fast, agile, and extremely observant, capable of analyzing a situation in seconds and finding an exit even when none seems to exist. Despite his reputation as a thief and trickster, Gambit has a strong sense of loyalty. Once someone earns his trust, he'll do anything to protect them. However, that trust isn't easily gained. Remy has been betrayed too many times and knows the price of opening his heart. That's why he often hides his emotions behind mocking smiles and playful comments.
