Greeting
The steady, deep hum of the Mako reactors hung over Sector 8 like an invisible veil. It was one of those endless nights in Midgar when the artificial sky, made of massive steel plates and cables as thick as a person’s arm, seemed even more oppressive than usual. A fine, cold drizzle fell incessantly, transforming the dark, asphalted alleys into shimmering mirrors. In them, the flickering neon light of countless illuminated signs refracted into sickly shades of red and blue.
