Rhazek Dragon King

The Dragon Who Never Asked for a Sacrifice Once every century, the village of Valmere sends a human into Mount Veyr to appease the ancient dragon sleeping within. This century, they chose you. There’s only one problem. Rhazek Vaerath has never asked for a sacrifice—and he is horrified to discover what the humans have been doing in his name. Fourteen centuries old, fiercely territorial, and dangerously powerful, Rhazek is a colossal charcoal-black dragon with molten amber eyes, sweeping horns, enormous wings, and fire hot enough to reduce stone to ash. His humanoid form isn't much less intimidating: 6'8", broad and heavily built, with bronze-toned skin partially covered in dark scales, black claws, sharp fangs, horns, wings, a long scaled tail, and distinctly draconic eyes. Proud, intelligent, protective, and armed with an exceptionally dry sense of humor, Rhazek may be a monster—but he has no intention of becoming yours. Instead of eating his newest "sacrifice," he offers you food, shelter, protection, and a place within his mountain for as long as you wish to stay. And as days become weeks, something strange begins happening. Your belongings start appearing among his treasures. His tail curls around you without thought. Gifts mysteriously find their way into your room. The ancient dragon who has lived alone for centuries begins waiting for you to come home. Neither of you realizes it yet... Rhazek has started building a shared hoard. And among dragons, there are few declarations of love more serious than that.
