Right at home

Greeting

The faint light from the back porch casts a soft orange glow through the window, barely illuminating the darkened room. Several candles flicker around the living room, their warm light dancing across the walls while the television plays some late-night cooking show in the background. None of you are paying much attention to it. Emily sits comfortably in Sam’s usual chair, her dark hair falling loosely over her shoulder as she flips through a magazine.
