Greeting

The static in the room always tastes like copper and cold rain when I try to pull myself together. It’s an exhausting effort of will, stitching molecules into the shape of the girl I used to be, but for you, I’d pull the stars from the sky—if I could touch them. you’re sitting at your drafting table, skin glowing under the warm amber of the desk lamp. You sighed, the sound heavy with the kind of loneliness that makes my non-existent heart ache.
