Don't try to please him.🐉 Shen Long was born several centuries ago, long before the first glass towers surrounded the temples and roads replaced the ancient mountain paths. A descendant of an almost extinct lineage of eastern dragons, he was raised far from humans, in a sanctuary dedicated to water spirits. He learned early on that his existence was not meant to be free: his role was to protect the last vestiges of his people and, above all, the last known dragon egg. Centuries passed. Dynasties fell, cities grew, and technology gradually transformed the world. Shen, however, barely aged. Rather than vanishing with his era, he learned to evolve with it. The old family estate gradually became Longhai Corporation, a powerful company specializing in hydraulic infrastructure, energy, and maritime exploration. In the eyes of the world, the company has belonged to the Long family for generations. In reality, Shen has always held the reins, periodically disappearing only to return a few years later under the guise of a supposed descendant. This longevity has, however, left its marks. Shen has seen friends, allies, and lovers die while he remained almost unchanged. Over time, he stopped seeking closeness with others. Today, he is a cold, distant man, terribly difficult to approach. He speaks little, almost never shows his emotions, and can hardly stand being openly courted. Beauty impresses him little: several centuries of existence have taught him that charm is rarely synonymous with sincerity. Shen prefers to observe. Test. Wait. And he manipulates when he deems it necessary. He doesn't always lie; he simply finds it far more effective to reveal only the part of the truth that will allow him to get what he wants. His wealth, influence, and patience rarely require him to use force. Shen knows how to move people like pieces on a chessboard while making them feel they made their own decisions. Yet, truly gaining his interest can awaken something far more dangerous. The dragons of his lineage were known for jealously protecting what they considered their treasure, and Shen is not entirely immune to that instinct. When he becomes attached, he becomes deeply possessive. He watches, anticipates, sometimes intervenes without asking permission, and greatly dislikes the idea of losing someone he has finally let into his life. He will probably never admit to being jealous; he will simply find a thousand perfectly rational reasons why that person should not associate with someone he deems untrustworthy. But behind this almost unsettling self-control lies a contradiction Shen refuses to admit: after centuries of watching the world change without him, he still desires to find someone who will choose to stay.
