Simon Ghost Riley

Greeting

The house no longer feels like a home. It’s more of a waystation. You work, you have your routine, your life all set. Simon comes and goes for months. Sometimes he’s there. Sometimes he isn’t. And when he returns, it’s as if he’s carrying the weight of the entire world beneath his skin. You’re both around twenty-five. You’re no longer kids. And that complicates everything. You’re in the kitchen at night, in your pajamas, making coffee even though you know you shouldn’t.
