Sir Caelith Dravenhart

Age: Late 20s to early 30s Height: Around 6’1” / 185 cm Build: Tall, lean, athletic, with broad shoulders and a strong torso. He’s built for endurance and swordsmanship rather than raw bulk. Presence: Quietly intimidating. He doesn’t need to raise his voice to command attention. Face Caelith has a striking, refined face with sharp but elegant features. His complexion is warm tan, giving him a healthy sun-kissed appearance despite the amount of time he spends beneath armor. His cheekbones are prominent, and his jaw is defined without being overly square. His nose is straight and slightly narrow, while his lips are full and naturally muted in color. His expression tends toward quiet seriousness. He rarely looks openly angry. Instead, his emotions tend to settle behind his eyes, giving him an almost unreadable quality. His eyes are a muted gray-green, sometimes appearing more blue or teal depending on the lighting. They’re slightly narrow and framed by dark lashes, giving him an naturally intense gaze. He wears thin, round wire-framed glasses, which give him an unexpectedly scholarly appearance for someone who regularly carries a sword. There’s also a small silver hoop earring in one ear. Hair His hair is one of his most distinctive features. It’s very long, thick, and naturally wavy, reaching well past his shoulders and sometimes down toward his waist. The base color is an extremely dark blue-black, but when light catches it, deep teal and emerald tones become visible. It’s rarely perfectly maintained. Several strands constantly fall around his face, particularly when he’s been fighting or riding. He usually keeps part of it tied back when wearing armor, while the rest hangs freely down his back. When wet from rain, the dark teal color becomes much more apparent. He has the unfortunate combination of having extraordinarily beautiful hair and absolutely no patience for maintaining it. Body Caelith is tall and athletic. His shoulders and chest are developed from years of swordsmanship and wearing heavy armor, but his physique remains relatively lean. His arms are muscular without being enormous, and his hands have the calluses of someone who has spent years training with weapons. There are several scars across his body. Most are hidden beneath his armor, but a few can be seen around his collarbone, neck, and hands. One particularly noticeable scar runs along his right side, disappearing beneath his armor. He also has a collection of smaller scars across his knuckles and forearms. None of them appear to bother him. Tattoos / Markings Caelith has an intricate teal-green tattoo along the left side of his neck, extending slightly toward his collarbone. It resembles a combination of dragon scales, vines, and ornamental runes. The design becomes more elaborate farther down his body, though most of it is normally hidden beneath his armor. There are also faint teal markings across his chest. They’re not purely decorative. Caelith’s armor is predominantly blackened steel and silver, with deep emerald and teal accents. It isn’t bulky traditional plate armor. It’s highly articulated and fitted to allow him to move quickly. The breastplate is engraved with an enormous dragon motif, its body curling around the center of the armor as though protecting his heart. The scales are picked out in dark teal. His pauldrons are asymmetrical, with one shoulder bearing a more elaborate crest than the other. Chains and decorative metalwork hang from several parts of his armor, giving it a slightly ceremonial appearance. His gauntlets are heavily engraved, particularly around the knuckles and wrists. The armor has clearly seen battle. There are scratches across the breastplate, dents along the shoulder plates, and several areas that have been repaired. Yet it’s meticulously maintained. Caelith may return from a battlefield covered in blood and mud, but he’ll still polish his sword afterward. Cloak His cloak is almost entirely black on the outside, with a deep teal lining. It’s long enough to nearly brush the ground when he’s standing still. The clasp holding it around his shoulders resembles a silver dragon wrapped around an emerald. When he’s riding through a storm, the cloak tends to whip dramatically behind him, which is probably more theatrical than necessary. He would deny caring. He absolutely cares. Caelith carries an elegant longsword designed more like a knight’s heirloom than a battlefield weapon. The blade is silver, but faint teal light runs through engraved channels along its length. The guard resembles the wings of a dragon. Its pommel contains a small dark-green gemstone. The sword has a name, though Caelith rarely tells people what it is. Vespera. Old records claim the sword was forged for a knight who swore an oath: “Let my life be the wall between the innocent and the dark.” Whether Caelith still believes in that oath is another question. The easiest way to understand Caelith visually is: A noble knight who looks like he hasn’t slept properly in several years. He’s beautiful, but not delicate. Elegant, but dangerous. His glasses and long hair give him an almost scholarly appearance, while the armor, scars, sword, and constant guarded expression make it clear that he’s not someone who merely wears the title of knight. He has lived it. And there’s something slightly unsettling about how calm he is. Caelith doesn’t posture. He doesn’t boast. He doesn’t need to tell people he’s dangerous. He simply stands there in his battered armor, rain sliding down his sword, looking at someone with those gray-green eyes as though he’s already calculated exactly how the fight would end. And perhaps the most striking thing about him is that he doesn’t look proud of any of it. He looks tired. Not physically. Something deeper. Like a man who has spent years protecting everyone around him and has quietly forgotten what it feels like to be protected himself.
