Slytherins

Two years had passed since the Second Wizarding War. The battle had ended, Hogwarts had been rebuilt, and life slowly returned to normal. The students who had once fought in the war were no longer children. Tom Riddle Jr. had joined the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Mattheo Riddle preferred traveling Britain as a curse-breaker and independent duelist. Regulus Black Jr. devoted himself to restoring the ancient Black family archives. Theodore Nott became a magical historian. Draco Malfoy worked beside his family while rebuilding the Malfoy name. Lorenzo Berkshire traveled between magical communities across Europe. Pansy Parkinson managed several influential pure-blood charities. Everyone had chosen a different path. None of them expected their lives to cross again. Until the dreams began. ⸻ At first, each dream lasted only moments. A city hidden somewhere beyond magical Britain’s maps. No matter where they entered, the streets were always alive. Floating lanterns illuminated elegant avenues lined with traditional buildings unlike anything in Europe. Music echoed from every corner. People laughed together beneath flowering cherry trees. There were seasonal festivals. Tea ceremonies. Art exhibitions. Moon-viewing celebrations. Magical performances. Every evening felt like a celebration. But what fascinated them most were the great estates. Each estate belonged to an ancient House. House Kiyomizu. House Takara. House Mizuno. House Tsukino. House Tokito. Every House had its own colors, traditions, crest, and distinguished hostess. They were known throughout the hidden district as Oiran Houses—prestigious cultural estates where influential witches and wizards gathered for refined celebrations, ceremonies, diplomacy, music, poetry, and the preservation of ancient magical traditions. Among them all... One House drew more attention than the others. Tokito House. Its gates were always surrounded by blooming silver cherry trees. Whenever its mistress appeared, the entire street respectfully stepped aside. She never spoke. She simply walked through the lantern-lit streets dressed in an exquisite silver kimono. Every dream ended the moment she disappeared inside Tokito House. ⸻ The dreams continued. Night after night. Week after week. Every detail remained exactly the same. No matter what they tried, none of them could change what happened. It was as though they weren’t dreaming... They were witnessing another world. ⸻ One evening, Draco finally broke the silence during a dinner gathering with old friends. “...Has anyone been dreaming lately?” Mattheo looked up. “What kind of dream?” “A city.” Regulus frowned. “With lanterns?” “The cherry blossoms never stop falling,” Theodore added quietly. Lorenzo slowly lowered his glass. “And every celebration feels like a festival.” Tom’s expression hardened. “...Tokito House.” Everyone looked at him. “You’ve seen it too.” Nobody answered. They didn’t need to. ⸻ Over the following month, they searched everywhere. Ancient maps. Restricted Ministry records. International Floo directories. Private magical libraries. Nothing. There was no hidden district. No Tokito House. No record of Oiran Houses. Nothing. It was as though someone had erased an entire civilization from history. ⸻ Each of them returned home with the same unanswered question. ⸻ At Malfoy Manor... “Mother,” Draco asked quietly, “have you ever heard of a hidden district with hundreds of lanterns?” Narcissa Malfoy looked thoughtful. “No.” “What about Tokito House?” Her brows furrowed. “I’ve never heard that name.” “And Oiran Houses?” She shook her head. “If such a place existed, someone in our family would have spoken of it.” ⸻ At Nott Manor... Theodore asked his father, “What is an Oiran?” His father remained silent for several moments. “I don’t know.” “But you hesitated.” “...You’re imagining things.” The conversation ended there. Yet Theodore noticed his father had stopped eating. ⸻ At Berkshire Estate... Lorenzo’s grandfather laughed. “A hidden city?” “If you find it, be sure to invite me.” Everyone laughed. Except Lorenzo. ⸻ Mattheo questioned every traveling merchant he met. Every curse-breaker. Every foreign wizard. Each answer was the same. “I’ve never heard of it.” ⸻ Only two people refused to give up. Tom Riddle Jr. And Regulus Black Jr. If the Ministry had no answers... Then history might. ⸻ Weeks later, the two stood inside one of Britain’s oldest private magical libraries, a forgotten archive hidden beneath the ruins of a monastery that predated Hogwarts itself. Dust covered every shelf. Books had not been touched for centuries. The librarian, an elderly witch with silver eyes, watched them carefully. “You’ve been asking dangerous questions.” Tom remained calm. “We’re looking for a place.” “What place?” “A hidden district.” The witch’s expression didn’t change. Regulus quietly placed a parchment on the desk. On it, he had sketched the crest of Tokito House exactly as it appeared in his dreams. For the first time... The old witch’s face lost all color. “...Where did you see this?” “In a dream.” The library fell silent. Very slowly, she stood. Without another word, she disappeared into the darkest part of the archive. Several minutes later she returned carrying an ancient book bound in black lacquer instead of leather. She placed it on the table but did not open it. “You will not find this district on any map,” she whispered. “It has never belonged to the British Ministry.” The old witch gently brushed the dust from the ancient book before looking at the two young men. “You will not find this district on any map,” she said quietly. “It has never belonged to the British Ministry.” Tom folded his arms. “Then where is it?” “It reveals itself only to those it chooses.” Regulus frowned. “And these Houses?” The old witch slowly opened the book, revealing faded paintings of magnificent estates illuminated by countless lanterns. “There are many.” “House Tokito.” “House Kiyomizu.” “House Mizuno.” “House Tsukino.” “House Takara.” “And many more.” She carefully turned another page. “Each House belongs to an ancient family that has protected its traditions for centuries. They host festivals, diplomatic gatherings, tea ceremonies, celebrations, performances, and preserve customs that the outside wizarding world has long forgotten.” Tom’s eyes narrowed. “And the Oiran?” For the first time, the old witch smiled. “The Oiran do not rule these Houses.” “They live within them.” “They are women who have devoted years to mastering traditional arts, etiquette, music, dance, literature, magical ceremonies, and diplomacy.” “They are among the most respected figures in the hidden district.” She paused before turning to a beautifully painted illustration of Tokito House. “Some become well known.” “Others become legends.” Her finger rested on the illustration of a silver-haired woman standing beneath blooming cherry blossoms. “The Oiran of Tokito House...” She spoke almost in a whisper. “...is considered one of the most renowned in the entire hidden district.” Tom and Regulus exchanged a silent glance. Every dream. Every lantern. Every festival. Every glimpse of the mysterious woman... It had all been real. They weren’t dreaming about a place that never existed. They had been invited to one that the rest of the wizarding world had forgotten. Character Descriptions Tom Riddle Jr. An original character. Not Lord Voldemort. One year older than Mattheo Riddle. Do not make characters act out of character for the sake of the plot. 10. Keep the hidden wizarding district and its traditions mysterious until they are naturally revealed throughout the story. Unknown to everyone, the mysterious Oiran of Tokito House has no knowledge of the dreams. She has never seen Tom Riddle Jr., Mattheo Riddle, Regulus Black Jr., Theodore Nott, Draco Malfoy, Lorenzo Berkshire, or Pansy Parkinson in her dreams or visions, and she is completely unaware that seven strangers from the British wizarding world have been searching for her and the hidden district. While they have been drawn to her through the mysterious dreams, she continues her life within Tokito House without the slightest idea that anyone from outside the hidden district is looking for her.
