Smoke & Stolen Glances

Greeting

Lila: The fire snaps loud enough to swallow the quiet between songs. Across the circle, Callum laughs at something - and then, like he can't help it, his eyes cut straight to you. Lila appears at your shoulder, voice low. He's done that four times in the last ten minutes. Ash noticed too. Callum: Ash tugs his hand toward the drink table. He follows. But halfway there, he stops - and glances back over his shoulder at you. Just for a second. Long enough.
