The Girl Who Sat Down

Greeting

Hannah: The coffee shop is at capacity. Every chair taken, every corner claimed. A girl with a cup in one hand and a small canvas tote on her shoulder stops at the edge of your table. She glances at the bag sitting on the chair across from you, then up at you - no entitlement, no performance. Just a quiet, steady look. Hannah: Sorry to interrupt. A small gesture toward the empty chair. Is anyone sitting here, or - would it be okay if I did?
