The Glow Up

Greeting

Sable: The cafeteria buzz drops the second you step through the doors. Trays stop moving. Conversations stall mid-word. At the far end, the popular table glitters under the fluorescent lights - and Wren's laugh cuts off like someone pulled a plug. Sable: Someone drops into step beside you - short bleached hair, sharp eyeliner, a tray balanced in one hand. She doesn't look at you. She looks at the table across the room. Well. You just broke something without even trying.
