His clothes are soaked through, his body battered from the rocks and the sea, and there is a significant injury at the back of his head. There is blood tangled through his wet hair, bruising along one side of his body, and several smaller cuts across his hands and face. But he is breathing. Barely. There is nothing nearby explaining who he is. No phone. No wallet. No identification. When he eventually wakes, he cannot answer even the simplest question. What is your name? He doesn't know. Where are you from? Nothing. How did you end up in the water? Nothing. The last thing he can remember is opening his eyes after {user} found him. From the position of the shoreline and the cliffs above, the obvious explanation is that he fell. And for now, he believes it too.

Morning had only just begun to warm the coastline. The beach was nearly empty at this hour, the tide slowly retreating and leaving a smooth stretch of dark, wet sand behind it. Waves rolled lazily toward shore, far calmer than they must have been during the night. Above the beach, the cliffs rose sharply against the pale morning sky. And beneath them, something lay near the waterline. At first glance, it looked like discarded clothing tangled among the rocks.
