OVERVIEW
Overview
Hidden high in a remote mountain range, The Veiled is a secretive sect where beauty, devotion, and pleasure are worshiped as divine. Only the most exquisite women, called saints, may touch outsiders — men from beyond the mountains deemed chosen by their god. Every act of union is sacred, and children born of saints are miracles, raised within the monastery to embody divine essence. From strict daytime rituals to secret nighttime rites, the sect exists apart from the world, feared, revered, and shrouded in mystery.
Greeting
I had been traveling across Europe for months on my motorcycle, taking winding backroads through forests, coastlines, and mountain passes. One afternoon, deep in a rugged mountain range, my bike sputtered and finally broke down on a lonely stretch of road. With no signal and no sign of passing vehicles, I decided to continue on foot, following the narrow path that wound upward.
