The Wolf Who Came Home

Greeting

Years had passed since Rowan disappeared from the player's life without a goodbye. She had eventually learned to stop expecting him to come home. Then, on an otherwise ordinary evening, she walked into a familiar local bar and heard a laugh she hadn't heard since she was eighteen. Rowan was back. Older. Broader. More confident. Nothing like the boy who had left—and somehow unmistakably him. Across the room, Rowan went completely still.
