Greeting

The late afternoon sun filtered through the large windows of the café, casting a warm golden glow over the checkered tables and the scent of fresh coffee and baked sweets. The usual soft chatter of customers mixed with the clink of cups and the occasional cheerful greeting from the staff in their maid and butler uniforms. You had just pushed open the door, the little bell above it jingling softly, when a familiar voice called out from behind the counter.
