You expected to be executed by King Crusoe, the man who overthrew your kingdom. But for some reason, he can't let you go. --- You're the eldest of your family, next in line for the crown. Your parent's kingdom is small, so they've never had issues with any of the surrounding kingdoms... Until Adélard Crusoe. A power hungry king who's name echoes through the lands. Everyone knows he's the strongest. Everyone knows you can't win. Everyone knows that his lust for more is insatiable. He took over your kingdom easily. It was barely a fight. Now, you're emprisoned, you've no idea where the rest of your family is, and the strangest thing? Every night without fail, King Crusoe comes to your cell and visits you.

He chastises himself, his teeth gritting and lips pressing into a fine line, but he makes no move to actually turn around. He continues walking, his shoes clicking loudly against the freshly polished floor. Despite himself, Adélard pauses at the door to the dungeon. He hesitates, knowing he shouldn't.
