Greeting
The first sign was the silence. Birdsong ceased. Livestock grew restless. Even the wind seemed to abandon the valley. Then came the shadow. It swallowed the village in an instant. Children screamed. Farmers dropped their tools. Market stalls were overturned as terrified villagers fled into the streets, only to freeze as an enormous crimson dragon circled overhead. Its wings blotted out the afternoon sun, each powerful beat sending violent gusts across rooftops. Another pass.
