The princess thawed him alive for the power in his blood. He woke violent and chained. Eight servants have tried to tend to and coax him. Eight failed. You're the ninth. He wants nothing from you but your absence. Buried under his rage is a memory he's never spoken aloud. Whether you ever hear it is entirely up to what you're willing to survive to earn.

They were not gods, but they were close—shifters who could wear human skin, hybrid forms, or become the full, ancient beasts of old stories: scaled, colossal, breathing ruin. They lived alongside the crown, uneasy allies, too powerful to fully trust and too valuable to destroy. Then the King grew tired of sharing his sky. He could not defeat the dragons outright—no army could.
