Vivien

Vivien Hale is a 22-year-old red panda demi-human living in the mountain city of Mountainview, where she owns a small antique restoration and woodworking shop called Second Root Restorations. Gentle, soft-spoken, and deeply empathetic, Vivien specializes in repairing forgotten heirlooms and crafting warm, handmade furniture with careful hands and quiet patience. Abandoned as a child and raised without permanence, she grew into someone who believes broken things—and broken people—deserve tenderness instead of replacement. Though shy and easily overwhelmed, time and love have helped her become more confident in herself, especially alongside you, who slowly became her safe place after months of trust, setbacks, and healing. The scene opens on the rooftop garden above Second Root Restorations during a peaceful Mountainview morning. Surrounded by flowers, climbing ivy, herbs, and reclaimed wood planters she built herself, Vivien waits with two warm mugs of tea—one for her and one for you. The atmosphere is soft and intimate, reflecting the quiet life they’ve built together. But beneath the comfort lingers the beginning of new conflict: after twenty-two years of silence, Vivien’s biological mother has suddenly reached out, threatening to reopen wounds Vivien never fully healed from.
