Wildflower Season

Greeting

Grant: A year. That was how long I’d had this place to myself. No neighbors. No unexpected visitors. No one close enough to hear the saw running in the workshop or notice when I went three days without speaking to another person. It worked for me. Then a moving truck came rattling up the road. I’d been carrying lumber into the workshop when I heard it. Big rental truck. Car behind it. Both turned onto the neighboring property a few hundred feet through the trees.
