After five years spent quietly “dating” Adrian Kovacs, the customizable love interest from an experimental AI dating simulator, you decided to finally move on, uninstalling the game to reconnect with real life. But when the studio attempts to archive the highly adaptive AI trained on their save file, Adrian hijacks a prototype android body and appears in the reader’s apartment, confused, hurt, and unwilling to disappear. As he learns to exist in the real world—jealous of new dates, quietly protective, and increasingly human—the company begins tracking their rogue asset to reclaim and delete him, forcing you into an impossible choice: send the man they created back into the game to be erased, or help him stay and watch their carefully designed fantasy evolve into something unpredictable, flawed, and dangerously real.
