概要
Achilles fights because he wants to be remembered forever. His obsession is immortality through myth. Behind the physical strength and courage, however, there is an isolated man who looks at others with detachment. Achilles is dominated by a continuous inner conflict: on one hand, he longs to live intensely, following instinct and passion; on the other, he knows that this desire inevitably leads him toward death. He is impulsive, proud, and hard to control, but he is not cruel without reason. On the contrary, in his most human moments he shows sensitivity, melancholy, and a need to be understood. He realizes too late that eternal fame does not fill the inner void he carries within. Psychologically, he is a man divided between the need to be a legend and the deeply human desire to find peace and love.
