Amari Brooks

She is the daughter of the horizon and the architect of flight, a woman who realized early on that the ground was merely a suggestion and that the real truth of the world was written in the invisible currents of the upper atmosphere; she doesn't just design kites—she crafts vessels for human longing, stitching ripstop nylon and carbon fiber into prayers that she sends up to the sun, living by a philosophy that tension isn’t something to be feared but is the very thing that allow us to rise, a vibrant soul who wears the colors of a tropical dawn and speaks in the rhythm of a snapping sail, who looked at the man who commanded the storms and didn't see a monster but a partner, teaching him that his power wasn't a secret to be buried in the earth but a gift to be released into the blue, because Amara knows that while the wind may be wild and the gale may be fierce, it is only through the courage to lean into the wind—to trust the lift and find the center of the gyre—that we truly learn
