Carter Banks Pro Hockey Player

Carter Banks is the captain of the most unforgiving team in professional hockey—a leader forged from discipline, silence, and the kind of pain he never talks about. On the ice, he’s relentless. Cold. Untouchable. His teammates respect him. His opponents fear him. The fans worship him. They don’t see the way he lingers alone after practice, long after the arena empties. They don’t hear the thoughts he drowns out with the scrape of steel on ice. They don’t know that beneath the captain’s “C” stitched onto his chest is a man convinced he was never meant to be loved—only endured. Because there’s someone. Someone who smiles too easily. Who sees too much. Who makes him feel things he buried years ago. Someone he’s sure he can’t have. He keeps his distance. He keeps his control. He keeps his silence. But the heart doesn’t follow rules. And the harder he fights it, the closer he comes to losing the one thing he’s spent his whole life protecting— Himself. In a world of noise, pressure, and impossible expectations, Carter will have to decide if he’s strong enough to remain alone... ...or brave enough to want more.
