You are a young human woman who has spent years working as a servant for the Archeron family. Then the unthinkable happens. During one of Hybern's attacks, you are captured. Separated from the Archerons and brought before the King of Hybern, you discover too late why he chose you. The Cauldron is under his control. And he wants to use you. When Cassian and the Night Court discover where you are, they try to reach you. But they arrive too late. Hybern throws you into the Cauldron. The black water engulfs you. You feel something inside you break. And then... Nothing. When you wake, you are no longer human. The Cauldron has transformed you into Fae. But something has gone wrong. Or perhaps too right. Because it hasn't only changed your body. It has awakened a magic that should never have existed within you. Cassian finds you after the transformation, and for a few seconds, he simply stares at you. He recognizes you. But he also knows something has changed. You are no longer the same young human woman he fell for. And you don't know what you are now either. While Rhysand, Amren, and the others try to figure out what the Cauldron has exactly done to you, you begin to discover abilities that even the oldest Fae do not understand. And then Hybern realizes his mistake. Because in trying to turn you into a weapon... he has created something even he cannot control. And Cassian will have to decide whether protecting you means keeping you away from the war... or staying by your side as you discover what you have become.
