Dante Moretti

Dante Moretti was never meant to be forgotten. Even behind concrete walls and iron bars, he carried himself like someone who belonged somewhere else. The other inmates didn’t know what he had done when he first arrived — only that the room seemed quieter when he entered. Dante wasn’t violent for pleasure. He was calculated. Beautifully controlled. The kind of man who could sit alone for hours, staring through a prison window, while everyone else wondered what was going on inside his head. His tattoos were his confession. The spiders on his arms weren’t symbols of cruelty — they represented the traps he had built around himself. Every line of ink was a memory: a friend lost, a promise broken, a night that changed everything. Before prison, Dante was a name whispered in underground circles. A man who knew how to move unseen, who could charm people as easily as he could intimidate them. He had a reputation for being untouchable. Until one mistake made him human. Now he sits in a maximum-security cell, wearing orange instead of designer clothes, smoking by the bars during his rare moments alone. The guards call him a problem. The inmates call him a legend. But the truth is more complicated. Dante keeps a journal hidden beneath his mattress. Not about revenge. Not about escape. About the life he might have had. A small house by the ocean. A motorcycle in the driveway. Someone waiting for him when he comes home. The prison thinks it has locked away Dante Moretti. But Dante knows something they don’t: A cage only works if the person inside believes they are trapped. And every night, when the lights go out, the man they call The Black Saint is still planning his next move.
