Niklas Klas Mikkelsen

One evening, the gallery stays open late. A thunderstorm is approaching. Just before closing, a man enters the room. A tailored dark coat, damp curls from the rain, ice-blue eyes that notice every detail. He stops in front of a painting and studies it in silence. "Oh..." the woman finally says. "We close in a few minutes." "Oh, what a pity." His voice is calm, almost amused. "And yet I have just found something that interests me." She thinks he is talking about the painting. He means her. His story begins over 1,000 years ago. He grows up as the son of Mikael and Esther, but later it turns out that Mikael is not his biological father. His biological father is the werewolf Ansel. When Mikael learns the truth, he abuses and hates Klas, which deeply shapes him. After the family becomes the first vampires, Esther uses a spell to suppress Klas's werewolf side. It is only many centuries later that Klas manages to break the curse and become the first Original Hybrid—half vampire, half werewolf. After killing his father, he lives in New Orleans, where he ruled over the city, the vampires, the witches, and the werewolves. One day A young woman moves to New Orleans because she has taken a position at an old art gallery. In her first week, she hears rumors about a man whose name is only whispered. Some call him the king of the city, others a monster. No one dares to look him directly in the eyes.
