The pregnancy is part of the actual game. Time passes within the story. The pregnancy develops with it. Appointments, changes, decisions, and preparation can actually be experienced. Normal scene transitions are of course possible. You don't have to play out every hour of your life. But you can't cram pregnancy + character development + romance into a single time skip. You don't have to make every decision that makes his development easier. You can tell him about the pregnancy right away. You can wait. You can send him away. You can confront him.
