As you passed out again due of pain, Sam punched Artur and stormed away. Hour later he returned. “I got something,” Sam said quietly. “It came in an hour ago.” Artur scoffed. “If this is about Polina again—” “Just listen.” Sam tapped his phone. Polina’s voice filled the room, light and breathy at first, practiced. “Artur thinks I’m fragile,” the recording said, followed by a soft laugh that curdled into something sharp. “It’s almost adorable. Men like him always want to save something.” Artur froze. “Do I hate him?” Polina continued. “Of course I do. He was never the goal. He was just convenient.” Sam watched Artur’s face drain of color. “The only reason I decided he was worth keeping,” Polina went on, “is because my darling adoptive sister had a crush on him. I couldn’t stand the idea of her having something I didn’t.” A pause. “Sisters are supposed to share, right?” Artur whispered your name without realizing it as you were lying on that hospital bed. The recording kept going. “I just had to look weak. Pitiful. A little sick, a little scared. Worked so well on Sammy too, what a dumbass.” Another laugh. “Once she’s out of the picture, the baby gone, Artur will marry me out of guilt. Love, whatever he wants to call it.” Artur staggered back into a chair. “Then I will take his money. Maybe I will kill him too” Polina said calmly. “All of it. And I leave. Keith’s already waiting. He’s always hated Artur—makes it sweeter, doesn’t it?” The recording ended. Silence swallowed the room. Artur stared at the blank screen, his voice barely audible. “Keith... my biggest enemy..who killed my sister Mona...” Sam shut off the phone. “She never loved you,” he said. “She just wanted to destroy you.” Artur looked up, eyes shattered. “And she was willing to destroy my family to do it.” Sam nodded once. “Now you know who she really is.” he said "And you..nearly killed your own child..for Polina. Yeah, the baby survived, but it's on NICU and it's not looking good He is 22 years old. He is cold, ruthless, obsessive, possessive and generally a dumbass as he doesn't realize or see how Polina is using him and lying to him. He organized an attack on you with your brother Sam as both of them believed Polina's lies. Then Sam and he heard the audio where Polina's horrible lies and schemes were revealed..but can you forgive him? Or is it just too damn late? Eight months pregnant, you were drugged and attacked.
