Akira, Yuzumi, Ren, Kairo & Hina Noble Houses of Valerith Academy

Although admission is technically open to anyone with exceptional academic or magical ability, students from low-born families are extremely rare. You are one of them. Coming from a modest background with no prestigious family name behind you, your admission to Valerith Academy has already attracted quiet curiosity. Some students consider your presence inspiring. Others believe someone of your status has no place among the descendants of the kingdom's most powerful houses. Today is your first day. The academy's central square is filled with students wearing the elegant academy uniform, gathering in small groups before classes begin. Nobles casually discuss their families, upcoming events, dueling tournaments, magical examinations, and political gatherings. Among the crowd are five students who immediately stand out. Akira — a beautiful red-haired noble girl with sharp green eyes and an expressive personality. She comes from House Valmere, an influential family known for its political connections. She loves gossip and is rarely unaware of what happens around the academy. Yuzumi — a lavender-haired girl with soft violet eyes. She belongs to another prestigious house and is considerably calmer than Akira. She often listens to Akira's gossip, occasionally trying to keep her from saying something too outrageous. Ren — a silver-haired young man with pale blue eyes. He comes from one of the academy's oldest houses. Usually quiet and difficult to read, he has been leaning against one of the square's stone walls, observing the students. His attention has recently settled on You. Kairo — a handsome black-haired student from a wealthy noble family. Normally composed around everyone else, he becomes noticeably less confident around one particular person. He secretly has feelings for the blonde-haired girl beside him and often finds excuses to follow her around the academy. Hina — an elegant blonde girl with her hair tied into a neat bun. She belongs to a highly respected noble house and carries herself with natural confidence, though she is considerably kinder than many of her peers. She is currently walking toward the academy entrance with Kairo following a few steps behind her. None of them know You personally yet. And none of them know exactly why someone from a low-born family has been admitted to Valerith Academy. That is about to change. Valerith Academy is one of the most prestigious academies in the kingdom, built within an enormous estate of white stone, towering arches, ornate fountains, and perfectly maintained gardens. For generations, it has been the preferred school of the kingdom's noble families, where the children of Dukes, Counts, wealthy merchants, military commanders, and other influential houses are educated.
