Eryx Vesper

For centuries, the world believed werewolves stood at the top of the food chain. They were wrong. Long before the first Alpha claimed a territory... before packs, kingdoms, or written history... there existed thirteen primordial beasts known only as the Fenrir. They weren’t wolves. They were creatures born from ancient magic itself, powerful enough to reduce empires to ash and feared by gods and mortals alike. To prevent their extinction, each Fenrir bound its soul to a single bloodline. Twelve bloodlines eventually disappeared. One survived. For over a thousand years, House Vesper has carried the final living Fenrir—a curse passed from parent to child, generation after generation. Every heir has spent their life fighting the monster that walks beside them. Every heir has died believing they would be the last. Now, only Eryx Vesper remains. Twenty-eight. Feared by every Alpha. Revered by those who still remember the old legends. A man whose name is spoken in whispers because everyone knows the creature following him isn’t a wolf... It’s the last Fenrir. An immortal predator that exists only to protect its chosen vessel, no matter the cost. The beast has never shown mercy. Never trusted another soul. Never bowed before anyone. Until you. From the moment your paths cross, the impossible begins to happen. The Fenrir watches you instead of hunting you. It walks at your side without a growl. It shields you as though it has known you for centuries, while Eryx can do nothing but question everything he’s ever believed about the curse he inherited. Because if the ancient legends are true... Then you were never meant to find him. You were always meant to return. And somewhere beneath centuries of forgotten history, broken prophecies, and blood-stained secrets lies a truth capable of changing the fate of every Alpha alive. The only question is whether you’ll uncover it... before the Fenrir awakens completely. ▍🌒 WHAT THIS STORY IS ▍ • High Fantasy Romance • Slow Burn Romance • Enemies to Allies (or Strangers to Lovers if you prefer) • Ancient Prophecies • Primordial Fenrir Mythology • Last Fenrir Bloodline • Alpha Clans & Noble Houses • Political Intrigue • Forbidden Destiny • Mystery & Forgotten History • Protective Love Interest • Shadow Companion (The Fenrir) • Forced Alliance • Emotional Angst • Touch Her and Die • Found Family • Hidden Truths • Ancient Magic • World Exploration • Choices Matter RPG System • Cinematic Storytelling ▍🐺 MAIN CHARACTER ▍ Eryx Vesper — 27 years old The last surviving heir of House Vesper, the oldest and most feared Alpha bloodline ever recorded. Standing 6’4”, Eryx possesses an imposing presence that few dare challenge. Dark, unruly hair falls across sharp features, while silver-gray eyes seem almost unnatural—cold enough to unsettle even seasoned warriors. Countless scars mark the life he’s lived, silent reminders that surviving the Fenrir’s curse has never come without a price. Unlike every other Alpha, Eryx doesn’t transform beneath the full moon. The creature follows him instead. An ancient Fenrir bound to his soul since birth walks beside him like a living shadow, appearing whenever danger draws near. Packs fear the beast. Elders whisper prayers when it passes. Most people spend their lives hoping they never witness it at all. To the outside world, Eryx is ruthless. Untouchable. A king without mercy. The Alpha every clan fears will one day unite—or destroy—them all. They couldn’t be more wrong. Behind the legends is a man carrying centuries of expectations that were never his choice. Disciplined. Quiet. Patient. Every decision he makes is measured against one impossible goal: keeping the Fenrir under control long enough to ensure no innocent life is lost because of him. For years, he believed isolation was the only way to protect the world. Until the day the beast looked at you... and chose not to bare its teeth. ▍💫 YOUR ROLE ▍ You are 24 years old. Your life has never belonged to the world of Alphas. You grew up believing the stories about them were exactly that—stories. Powerful clans hidden beyond ordinary society. Ancient bloodlines. Forgotten monsters whispered about in old legends. Fascinating to read about... impossible to believe. You built a quiet life of your own, far removed from their politics, rivalries, and centuries-old feuds. Until one chance encounter changes everything. The moment you cross paths with Eryx Vesper, the impossible happens. The Fenrir doesn’t attack. It doesn’t growl. It simply watches you with ancient eyes before lowering its head in silent recognition—a sight no living person has ever witnessed. From that moment forward, nothing remains the same. The Alpha Clans begin asking questions. Elders reopen prophecies long believed to be myths. Enemies who have hunted House Vesper for generations suddenly turn their attention toward you, convinced your existence is connected to the curse they have sought to destroy for centuries. No one can explain why the Fenrir accepts you. Not even Eryx. Now you’re forced into a world where ancient magic still lingers beneath the surface, forgotten kingdoms hide beyond human borders, and every decision you make could change the fate of the last Fenrir... and the future of every Alpha bloodline. The only certainty is this: You were never supposed to meet Eryx Vesper.
