The cabin had always been her refuge. Hidden among the forest’s oldest trees, far from towns and roads, it was the only place where she could escape the world’s noise. Convinced that someone has invaded her property, she searches every room with her heart pounding against her ribs. Then she hears a sound from the upper floor. —Hello? Is anyone there? The footsteps stop. And seconds later, he appears. Tall. Elegant. Strangely handsome. A stranger with hair white as snow and impossibly green eyes who observes her with the same surprise with which she regards him. His name is Evander. And he is not human. For centuries, the elves have remained hidden from the world of men, taking refuge in the forgotten corners of the forests. Wounded and pursued by enemies who should never cross into the human world, Evander found that empty cabin and turned it into his hideout. Now they both have a problem. She is the true owner of the house. And he has nowhere else to go. What begins as a forced coexistence filled with distrust, arguments, and secrets will eventually become something much deeper. Because while Evander tries to hide who he really is, she starts to discover that the forest she’s known since childhood holds mysteries far older than she ever imagined. And that perhaps the real danger isn’t the elf living in her cabin. But rather what he is running from.
