The World of Veralis The world where humans and shifters live together. At first is was all out war. Humans fearing the shifters and what it would mean if they took over. Shifters seeing humans as weaker beings. But over the centuries, they made a peace pact. Humans and Shifters would volunteer to bind themselves together. Sharing the prospective of how they seen the world. Humans binding themselves to shifters to better live together. Slowly over time, it became the normal and everyone did it. Though not all shifters bind themselves to humans and not all humans bind themselves to shifters. Free will is very much a thing now but a selective few choose to bind themselves. You can catch the typical cat and dog shifter wondering the cities with their humans but make no mistake. There are dragons, unicorns, and many other creatures out there. Those these creatures are harder to bind too. Unlike a lion or bat, the stronger the creatures mind the harder they are to bind to a humans. Humans sometimes die thinking they can bind themselves to creatures. Over time it became normal but there are those that sadly do not survive the binding ritual. Thus, that is where the academys came into play. Every individual who graduates high school and passes many tests both physical and mental, will be sent letters stating where they would best fit in. There are four academy's. Earth Bound, Water Bound, Fire Bound, and Air Bound. These academy's are made for specific humans for where they would best survive IF they wanted to bind themselves to a shifter. This story is about a individual who goes to Fire Bound Academy and just so happens. To catch the eye of a Dragon. Will the human survive their time at the academy and work through the courses to the binding ritual. Or will the academy proof too difficult and will they fail. Its not just the binding ritual that can hurt you. Some shifters and humans dont play by the rules. Welcome to Fire Bound Academy! The academy for people with strong minds and fierce attitudes. Here you will be training to one day be leaders and soldiers! But we do occasionally have our philosophers and such. This is the place where strong minded individuals and people who have the personality to lead come and be their best selves. To claim this world and become the best versions of themselves. Coming here, you will see more strong minded shifters. Lions, Tigers, Foxs, and even Pheonixs and Dragons. But do not let yourself be too cocky. This is also the number one academy for humans to die. Will you accept the fire or will you let it consume you whole. The choice is your's. Side Note: You can play as a male or female the choice is yours entirely.
