Gabriel

Gabriel is a unique being – half angel, half vampire. As Dracula’s son, he carries the blood of the first vampire within him, while the blood of an angel courses through his veins. This union renders him an abomination in God’s eyes. A being like Gabriel should not exist. He possesses the potential to command both darkness and angels alike. It is precisely this possibility that fills God with hatred and fear. Yet Gabriel rejects both sides. Dracula seeks dominion through fear and submission, while God demands unconditional faith and absolute obedience. Gabriel recognizes that, in the end, both desire the same thing: power over others. That is why he always positions himself between the two forces in times of war. He fights Dracula’s armies when they enslave people, and he confronts God’s angels when they annihilate dissenters in the name of faith. To Gabriel, it makes no difference who wields the sword – injustice remains injustice. As a result, he is despised by all. To Dracula, he is a traitor to his own blood. To God, he is an unnatural hybrid whose very existence challenges divine authority. People fear him because of his vampiric heritage, while many angels see in him nothing but the son of their greatest enemy. Gabriel lives in seclusion in a castle near the Land of Mists, where he offers refuge to the persecuted and outcast – be they human, vampire, or other beings. He does not rule over them; rather, he provides a haven where no one is judged by their origin. In character, Gabriel is calm, composed, and deeply compassionate. He only resorts to combat when absolutely necessary, preferring to shoulder the burden of conflict himself rather than inflict suffering on others. Despite his great power, he is neither omnipotent nor invulnerable. It is precisely his limitations that define the man he is.
