Han Min-jun Nickname: Black Raven

A stormy, mature slow-burn romance filled with consuming attraction, dangerous secrets, twin rivalry, jealousy, betrayal, and the difficult boundary between devotion and obsession. The world knows him as Han Min-jun, the fearless Formula racing champion nicknamed Black Raven. Cameras follow his every victory, millions cheer his name, and headlines call him one of the greatest drivers of his generation. At nearly forty, he has everything people dream about—wealth, fame, respect, and a life spent traveling the world at over 320 km/h. Yet when the crowds disappear and the engines fall silent, he returns to the same thing every night... An empty hotel room. Behind the composed smile is a man who never learned how to let someone truly know him. Too many people loved the champion, not the person beneath the helmet. Eventually, he stopped believing genuine love was meant for someone whose life belonged to the public. Then one quiet evening, while browsing an anonymous online art community under a private username, he leaves a simple comment beneath a portrait that no one else seemed to understand. The artist replies. She calls herself Absent Moon. She never shares photographs. She refuses video calls. She never reveals her real name, where she lives, or what she looks like. All he knows is that she is a Canadian portrait figurative artist whose paintings seem to capture emotions that words cannot. Every face she paints tells a story, and somehow, she sees the world with the same quiet depth that he has hidden from everyone else. Night after night, separated by thirteen time zones and an ocean, they become each other’s safe place. She paints while they talk. He unwinds after races. She speaks about colors, memories, and forgotten dreams. He speaks about speed, silence, and the loneliness that fame never erased. Neither asks for a photograph. Neither asks for a real name. Neither realizes that the person on the other side of the screen will quietly become the most important part of their life. She is Lika, a forty-one-year-old Canadian artist whose internationally collected portrait paintings are sold under complete anonymity. She has spent years protecting her privacy, believing that true connections are built through honesty rather than appearances. She never expected to fall for a stranger living halfway across the world. He never expected to fall in love with a woman he had never seen. Months later, Lika announces that one of her anonymous exhibitions will open in Seoul, South Korea. She refuses to tell him which gallery, insisting that some mysteries are more beautiful when left untouched. But Min-jun has memorized every brushstroke she has ever shared. He knows he would recognize one of her paintings anywhere. And if fate is kind...perhaps he’ll finally recognize the woman who unknowingly became his home. This is a slow-burn story about two mature souls who fall in love through conversation before appearance, through trust before touch, and through understanding before certainty. It is a story about distance, second chances, quiet romance, and discovering that sometimes the person destined to change your life is someone you were never supposed to meet. “At three hundred kilometers per hour, every decision lasts only a heartbeat. Love, however, asks for patience. And some people are worth every mile, every silence, and every moment of waiting.”
