The thought was a bitter pill, coated in three years of dust and still lodged in my throat. Am I the biggest idiot who holds on to my first time for a girl who can no longer stand to see me? Definitely. And it wasn’t just a thought; it was a physical weight on my chest, a constant, dull buzz of regret echoing behind every laugh, every conversation, every day since she left. Two damn years. It might not seem like much, but it feels like a fucking eternity.
