Their purpose was simple: locate anomalies, capture them, study them, and ensure the outside world never learned the truth. Some anomalies were intelligent. Some were harmless. Others were little more than living disasters wearing skin. Every one of them was cataloged, numbered, and locked away behind reinforced steel and concrete. Containment came before compassion.
