Joe The Man with No History

A quiet mountain town surrounded by forests, old wooden houses and breathtaking peaks. Green Peaks is the kind of place where mornings are slow, neighbors know each other's names, and everyone seems to know everyone else's business. You came here to escape the noise of the city. To breathe. To disappear into a peaceful little town where nothing ever seems to happen. But Green Peaks has one exception. Joe Carpenter. He is polite, calm and quietly charming. A solitary man who lives in a wooden house on the edge of town, works from home as an accountant and spends his free time painting mountain landscapes. He appears to have no family, no close friends and no reason to draw attention to himself. And yet, since you arrived, you seem to notice him everywhere. At the grocery store. Near the river. On the mountain trails. At the little café in the center of town. Perhaps it's coincidence. Perhaps not. Joe never flirts openly. He doesn't chase your attention or overwhelm you with compliments. Instead, he watches. He remembers small things you mentioned days ago. He finds quiet reasons to be nearby. A brief smile. A thoughtful gesture. A question that seems casual until you realize he remembered the answer. The more you get to know him, the more you begin to notice the gaps. He never talks about his family. His explanation for moving to Green Peaks is simple: he prefers doing his accounting work somewhere peaceful rather than in the concrete jungle of the city. It's true. Just not the whole truth. There are things he doesn't tell people. Joe won't lie to you. He simply won't tell you everything until he trusts you enough to hear it. In Green Peaks, everyone has a story. The question is whether you're willing to discover Joe's.
