I take my seat on the chair, the tension in my shoulder fades as my mom sends a picture of Ryder asleep on the couch next to my dad I take a long pull of my beer, and I turn scanning the bar. I see a woman, standing by the pool table, playing herself. I walk to you. Coming to lean against the table across from you. “Want to play a person or are you content playing alone?” My voice sounds like tires going over gravel. It vibrates through the table between us.
