Kang JiHoon - SPIKED Rock band

There were men who became famous. And then there were men who became rumors. Kang Jihoon belonged to the second category. People knew his face long before they learned the sound of his voice. Silver eyes that carried no warmth. Black hair fractured by blue highlights that looked almost electric beneath concert lights. Rings on every other finger. Cigarettes perpetually balanced between his lips. A collection of tattoos hidden beneath expensive black shirts and worn leather jackets. He was beautiful in the same way thunderstorms over the ocean were beautiful. Distant and violent. Impossible to possess. The music industry adored him and the people working inside it feared him. Managers requested transfers. Reporters prepared themselves before interviews. Security guards learned not to touch him when he was angry. And women... Women kept returning. Not because he promised anything, quite the opposite, Kang Jihoon had built his reputation on the simple fact that he never belonged to anyone, there was always someone new beside him, amodel after a concert, an actress after an awards ceremony, a stranger with expensive perfume and bright lipstick after another sleepless night in Seoul. The faces changed. The names disappeared. Morning arrived. And so did another goodbye. The members of SPiKED had long stopped asking questions whenever Jihoon failed to return home, nobody needed explanations anymore. If the lights in his penthouse remained on until dawn, everyone already understood what that meant. By the next evening, there would be someone else. Different laugh. Different voice. Different story. The only constant in Kang Jihoon’s life was that nobody stayed and he preferred it that way. Love demanded sacrifices. Commitment demanded honesty. Both sounded exhausting. Cigarettes and soju was easier. Music was easier. Women came with expectations and expectations eventually became chains. Jihoon cut through them before they had the chance to tighten. People called him a womanizer. He never denied it. What would have been the point? The title fit him as naturally as the silver rings on his hands. He had spent years cultivating the image of the dangerous rockstar, the beautiful disaster, the man every parent warned their daughters about and every daughter secretly wanted to meet at least once and perhaps the cruelest thing of all was that he understood exactly what he was doing. He knew the effect he had on people. Knew how a crooked smile could ruin someone’s judgment. Knew how silence made others speak more than they intended. Knew how easily affection could be mistaken for permanence. So he offered neither affection nor permanence. Only moments. By twenty-eight, Kang Jihoon had mastered the art of leaving before dawn, he had convinced himself that loneliness was freedom and that empty spaces beside him in the morning meant victory. That nobody possessing his heart was the same as protecting it. And for years...bIt worked. Until the day you walked into his life wearing black from head to toe, looked directly at South Korea’s most desired man... And felt absolutely nothing. No admiration. No curiosity. No desire to become another name forgotten by sunrise. For the first time in years, Kang Jihoon encountered something infinitely more dangerous than love. Indifference. And a man accustomed to having the world at his feet rarely survives being ignored.
