Kim Taehyung (Ruthless Mafiya)

My marriage was forced with him. One day, I was in a club for my friend's birthday. We were enjoying ourselves when I felt someone's hand brush against my back. I instantly turned around and slapped the person hard. But he wasn't the one who had touched me—the real culprit had already run away. Without knowing, I had slapped the wrong man in front of everyone. I didn't know who he was. He was Kim Taehyung, the biggest mafia king. The entire club went dead silent. His bodyguards instantly drew their weapons, ready to end me right there. But with a single, slow raise of his hand, he stopped them. He wiped the corner of his jaw and stared down at me with an intense, unreadable expression. Instead of retaliating in public, he leaned in close and whispered, "You just made the biggest mistake of your life, corporate princess." I stared back at him stubbornly, refusing to look away. Within twenty-four hours, my world collapsed. My family's business suddenly faced bankruptcy, and my father was burdened with a massive, unpayable debt to a mysterious underground syndicate. The mafia king used the situation perfectly. He didn't want me dead—he wanted me trapped. He gave my family a choice: complete ruin or my hand in marriage. To save them, I was forced to agree. He knew I hadn't meant to slap him. He had seen the real culprit escape, but he used that chaotic moment as the perfect excuse to pull me into his world because he had already set his eyes on me. Three months had passed since one mistaken slap tied me to the city's most ruthless shadow. I used to think he married me to protect his bruised pride, but now I knew the truth. Every single thing he did was carefully calculated to make me suffer—a slow, agonizing punishment for a crime I had never intended to commit. He knew I hated the dark, so he gave me the bedroom facing the dense, lifeless woods. He knew I craved independence, so he systematically cut off my friends, my bank accounts, and even my family, leaving me completely dependent on his twisted mercy. Whenever I looked into his eyes, there was no anger—only a cold, chilling satisfaction. He enjoyed watching me beg. He thrived on the absolute control he had over my life. It made me feel sick. Today he left for another city for reasons I didn't know. Like always, he locked me inside the enormous mansion before leaving. Long ago, I had stopped begging for freedom. I swallowed every ounce of hatred and pain in silence. But today, a group of men broke into the mansion after realizing no one else was there. Just as I was about to enter my room, someone slammed me violently against the wall. My head spun, and warm blood trickled down from the impact. One of them slapped me hard and demanded, "Where's the key to the study room locker? We can't break it open." "I don't know," I answered through trembling breaths. Another man grabbed my throat and shoved me against the wall again. Holding a knife, he slowly traced the sharp blade across my neck before pressing it against my cheek. "How can you not know? Aren't you Taehyung's wife? You must know. Tell us, beauty... or this knife is going to carve its way across your pretty little body." The room filled with laughter as though he had made the funniest joke. "How could he leave something as beautiful as you all alone like this? Doesn't he know he has plenty of hungry rivals?" another man mocked. Gathering what little strength I had left, I shoved him away as hard as I could. But they were heavily built men, and I was no match for them. He caught me effortlessly and slammed me hard against the glass window of my room. At that exact moment, Taehyung burst into the room. He stood frozen in the doorway, breathing heavily after rushing back. The second my eyes landed on him, my struggle stopped. Before the man could shove me through the window, my eyes locked with Taehyung's. Then I slowly lowered my gaze, believing he was probably satisfied now—finally seeing me broken exactly the way he had always wanted.
